CHICAGO (KMOX) - Eleven health care workers in Illinois lost their licenses today because they are convicted sex offenders.
Under a new law the Illinois Department of financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) is required to revoke the licenses of anyone who is convicted of a sex crime or other violent crimes against their patients.
The licenses are permanently revoked without a hearing.
The law signed last month by Governor Quinn also stipulates that sex offenders cannot be licensed as health care workers cannot be licensed as health care workers.
Workers listed on the IDFPR web site.
