Boyfriend Charged With Murder In South City Shooting
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — A 36-year-old St. Louis man is accused of shooting his girlfriend to death in her Cherokee Street apartment Monday morning.
Police were notified of the shooting around 6:30 a.m. when an unknown caller said they heard shots inside the apartment. Rice’s girlfriend 25-year-old Latasha Jefferson was found inside with a gunshot wound to the head.
Prosecutors have charged Shatondi Rice with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Rice is jailed without bond.
Police have not said a possible motive, but the two did have a child together.
