Casino Worker Dies After Falling Down Elevator Shaft

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — A 49-year-old maintenance worker at Lumiere Place casino in downtown St. Louis has died after falling down an elevator shaft.

Officials say the employee was working on an elevator shaft in the parking garage when he fell to the ground from scaffolding.

An autopsy is planned to see if any medical condition contributed to the fall. Federal investigators are reviewing the accident.
