ST. LOUIS COUNTY, M0. (KMOX)-Police in south St. Louis County are looking for the man who assaulted a 17-year-old girl after an after-school event outside Oakville High School Wednesday night.

Officer Rick Eckhardt tells KMOX News it happened at about 9:45 pm, “She was on the property, walking towards another group of individuals when she was approached from behind, grabbed and dragged towards a building that was actually on the property, that I believe houses some restrooms.”

Eckhardt says she was able to escape, “She fought with the man and was able to break away, at which point she ran in one direction and he ran in the other.”

The girl says the suspect was a roughly 20-year-old white man. He was 5′ 7″ to 6′  tall weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie and white shorts at the time.

If you saw someone matching that description, in that area Wednesday night, call St. Louis County Police.
