Stages Lifts Curtain On 2012 Slate
The 2012 season at Stages, now in its 26th year in Kirkwood, is going to feature some extremely popular titles. They are all shows with tremendous audience appeal and the kind that will look great in the intimate confines of The Robert G. Reim Theater of the Kirkwood Community Center. The Reim Theater has 384 seats.
The season begins June 1st 2012 with the Tony winning musical on the life and works of Thomas “Fats” Waller, “Ain’t Misbehavin.”
Opening July 20 will be one of the most endearing musicals to ever play any theater in St. Louis, “The Sound of Music.” “My One and Only” will be the final offering of the main stage starting September 7.
Stages normally has a three show season, with each show running a total of five weeks. However, an additional children’s show is produced at the Skip Viragh Center for the Arts at Chaminade High School. It called the Theater for Young Audiences and this season will feature Disney’s “Aladdin” June 2o through July 1st.
Stages has 124 performances per season and an aggregate audience over 47,000 patrons.
