Two Years Later, Family of Murder Victim Still Hoping For Justice

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  As of Friday it will have been two years since a man was gunned down at his home in Florissant.

Desperate for information that will lead to a break in the case, family and friends of murder victim Orlanda Smith have boosted the reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction from $1,000 to $5,000.

Three masked gunmen forced their way into the home in the early morning hours of Sept. 16, 2009, and made Smith’s mother to take them to her son’s room at gunpoint.

Orlanda Smith, 23, was shot dead as he opened his bedroom door.

Despite an intense manhunt throughout the Seven Hills area of Florissant and a large section of north county, the gunmen were never found.

Information about this crime can be called in anonymously to St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-8477.
