Man Charged in Robbery at St. Peters Bank

ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOX) –  An O’Fallon Missouri man has been charged in this weekend’s robbery at a bank located inside a grocery store.

Police say 49-year-old Gene Whitehead was arrested shortly after the midday Saturday robbery at First Bank, located inside Dierbergs on Salt Lick Road in St. Peters.

Arresting officers recovered money from the hold-up.

Whitehead’s in custody at the St. Charles County jail on $100,000 bond.

St. Peters police say he’s implicated himself in three other bank robberies, one in O’Fallon and two in St. Charles.
