JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Republican House leaders say they have a revised plan for revamping Missouri’s business incentives that would impact Lambert’s China Hub. They hope to vote on it Friday.

The latest version of the legislation would follow the general approach laid out in a Senate bill passed last week. It would consolidate several of Missouri’s existing business incentives into a streamlined program called Compete Missouri. And it would create new incentives for cargo exports at the St. Louis airport.

State Rep. John Diehl, of St. Louis County, said Wednesday that he and other House leaders worked with Gov. Jay Nixon’s office to come up with the latest version. He said it differs from the Senate bill in some of the specifics for Compete Missouri and in how warehouses associated with proposed cargo hub could qualify for incentives.
