Five Police Officers and a Dispatcher Arrested

BELLEVILLE (KMOX) – Five Metro East Police officers and a police dispatcher were arrested.

Illinois State Police investigators say they were involved in separate crimes.

Belleville officer Mark Bush is charged with battery of a citizen.  A couple  claims he became violent when they asked the name of his supervisor.  Officer Bush is accused of throwing the man to the sidewalk.

An Alorton Officer, Harry Halter is charged with misconduct.  He runs a  towing company in Alorton and allegedly overcharged people who had their vehicles confiscated.

An East St. Louis officer and a dispatcher were also arrested.  Officer Larry Greenlee allegedly collected unemployment benefits from the State of Illinois while he was working.  Dispatcher Shantez Lockett is accused of sending a text message to a fugitive, warning him that police were on their way to arrest him.

The arrests also included a former Fairview Heights Officer, Tina Presson on theft charges and Jeffrey Waters from Washington Park.
