Taiwan Signs Trade Deal With Illinois Corn Growers

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (KMOX) — Governor Pat Quinn announces a deal has been reached with Taiwan to import an additional half-Billion dollars worth of Illinois produced crops.

A 22 member delegation from Taiwan was in Springfield to sign letters of intent with the Illinois Corn Growers Association and the Illinois Soybean Association.

Illinois will supply between 43 and 59-million bushels of corn and another 14-million bushels of soybeans, bringing in up to 600-million dollars for Illinois producers.
