Mo-DOT Makes Provisions for Peabody Gala

ST. LOUIS (KMOX)- Mo-DOT is making provisions for those heading downtown for the Peabody Opera House’s grand opening gala tonight.

Crews will reopen the eastbound lanes of I-64 from Jefferson to 14th street from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm today.

Otherwise, the eastbound lanes are scheduled to be closed from Jefferson to the Poplar Street Bridge until early Monday morning.

It’s being recommended that those heading to the Peabody use the 20th Street/Chestnut exit off of eastbound I-64.

Tonight’s gala is headlined by Jay Leno and Aretha Franklin.

Special provisions hell, they never should have closed even one lane with the
Symphony gala and the opera house opening, and the Shaw art fair.. Thank you Peter Kinder. Sometimes engneers dont have any idea where the rubber ‘really’ meets the road. And they were asleep, Downtown.
