Brad Winchester Signs With Sharks

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — The San Jose Sharks have signed former St. Louis Blues left wing Brad Winchester to a one-year contract.

Winchester was brought into training camp on a tryout basis and ended up earning a contract Monday.

He appeared in five preseason games, posting one goal, one assist and a team-high 18 penalty minutes.

Winchester split time last season between St. Louis and Anaheim. He had 10 goals, six assists and 114 penalty minutes in 76 games.

Winchester has played seven years in the NHL with Edmonton, Dallas, St. Louis and Anaheim.
