ST. LOUIS (KMOX)-“Darn it, I wanted them to win!” Dianne Mitchell pretty well summed up the feeling of Cardinals’ fans as they left Busch Stadium after the team’s 3-2 loss to the Phillies Tuesday night. With the win Philadelphia took a two games to one lead in the best-of-five National League Division Series.

“Good ballgame, we just came out on the losing end,” says Scott Martin. “This team never gives up so we’re still in it.”

Scott’s son Kyler believes the Redbirds will rebound,  “We’ve had our backs against the wall a lot of times, especially during September. So, we can win two more games and advance to the NLCS.”

Jimmy Tomlin believes the Cardinals have the offense to bounce back, “I just feel pretty good about the way they’re swinging the bats and we’re going to do it.”

Dixie Sellenriek says the Cardinals have the Phillies right where they want them, “They like to be the underdog. The love to be the underdog. We came into this thing as the underdog, we’re going to go back to Philadelphia as the underdog and we’re going to win it there.”

Game four is Wednesday night at Busch Stadium.
