Cardinal Fans: The Road To Philadelphia Costs Hundreds

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Plenty of Cardinals fans are heading to Philadelphia to witness Game 5 tonight between the Cards and Phillies, but several road blocks maybe in their way.

Stephanie Turner with Brentwood Travel says the problem is a dearth of direct flights from St. Louis to Philadelphia. You’re likely going to have to make at least one changeover along the way, and the last available flights were going for around $700 one way.

Turner says she had one significantly cheaper ticket, but there’s a catch.

“I have one flight for 180 dollars one way, but that flight gets in at 5:01 p.m. Friday. So they would probably miss the beginning of the game.”

And that’s if they’re able to scrounge up a ticket to get inside Citizens Bank Park.

Those available online were going for $100-to-$850 per ticket.according to one website, but you might find yourself paying $600 or more per ticket.
