EAST ST. LOUIS, IL (KMOX) – The police chief of East St. Louis has resigned after just six months on the job.
Ranadore Foggs is a retired Illinois State Police captain who took over the department in late May after retiring.
Foggs said he had philosophical differences with the mayor about how the police department should be run. However, Mayor Alvin Parks Junior tells K-M-O-X he was not aware of any differences.
Foggs began his law enforcement career in 1981 and retired from the state police in 2009.
Parks adds Foggs will still be the chief of police until a replacement is found. Aubrey Keller is the assistant East St. Louis Police Chief.
