Five Wounded In Saturday Night Gunfire
North St. Louis took the brunt of the Saturday night gunfire in the city. Police say five people were standing outside a home in the 45-hundred block of Margaretta Saturday night when a black jeep pulled up and someone in the back seat opened fire. A 28 year old man was hit in the hand and chin and a 23 year old suffered a graze wound to the arm. No one else was hit. The 28 year old is in stable condition and the gunman got away.
A 22 year old man is in stable condition, despite being shot in the chest and pelvic area Saturday night. That attack occurred in the 55-hundred block of Beacon. The victim made it to the 55-hundred block of Genevieve and collapsed.
A 14 year-old was shot in the arm Saturday night in the 41-hundred block of St. Louis Avenue. He says he was walking out of a gangway when he saw a man in his early twenties arguing with someone else. That man wheeled and shot the teen.
Detectives are questioning the victim in another Saturday afternoon shooting. A 36 year old man found wounded at Hodiamont and Delmar. He claims he was hit in
the leg by a bullet fired by one of several arguing teenagers, but police sat the victim keeps changing his story.
