The Fox Theater has heated up the marquee war with its newest competitor, the Peabody Opera House, with the announcement that Broadway megahit WICKED will return to The Fox for the 4th time.
The show has set attendance records in its previous 3 engagements at The Fox. This new booking will run between December 12, 2012 and January 6, 2013, making it a bigtime holiday attraction. Ticket availability dates to the general public will be announced “at a later date,” according to Fox officials. However, if you’re Fox subscriber or have a group you want to bring to WICKED, tickets to will be available before single tickets go on sale. Contact the Fox box office or Fox Subscription Services for more details.
WICKED has won 35 major awards, including a Grammy and 3 Tony Awards. It has become an international theatrical phenomenon, rivaled only by “Phantom of the Opera” in recent history.
“We are thrilled,” said Fox Theater producer Kristin Caskey, “that St. Louis can ring in the 2012 holidays with WICKED.”
