ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — A woman’s death at a St. Louis hotel is being labeled a homicide.
The body of a young woman, apparently bound and gagged, was discovered dead at the Holiday Inn at Interstate 44 and Hampton around 8:15 a.m. Thursday.
A housekeeper discovered the body in a bathtub on the 6th floor.
Gloria Bannister was staying in a room across the hall and she heard loud voices and doors banging early Wednesday morning.
“I heard a woman say ‘get out!’ and then a guy just said ‘oh you,’ but I couldn’t decipher the rest,” said Bannister.
She didn’t contact police or the front desk because the disturbance was very brief, she says, and she heard nothing else after that.
Police believe the victim’s in her 20′s, is from this area, and has no connection to Texas Rangers fans or team officials who are staying at the hotel.
