ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Whether or not the Cardinals pull out a World Series win, there will be a celebration next week.
November 2nd is when a statue of Albert Pujols is set to be dedicated outside his restaurant in Westport.
Why not outside Busch Stadium with the likenesses of other Redbird greats?
“Albert doesn’t want to put anything at the stadium until he goes into the Hall of Fame,” explains sculptor Harry Weber, who crafted those statues outside Busch as well as the one of Albert that will be dedicated next Wednesday.
Weber says an anonymous donor paid for the Albert statue, which will stand 10-feet tall and weight 1,100 pounds.
There will also be two-foot-tall likenesses of it for sale.
