JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX) - Halloween Weekend can be a dangerous one on Missouri roadways.
Last year, there were two deaths and 43 serious injuries in traffic crashes, according to figures provided by the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety.
The report indicates 53% of the victims weren’t wearing seatbelts, and 22% of the crashes involved drunk or drugged drivers.
The Coalition suggests having a designated driver or calling a cab to get home from Halloween parties where alcohol is involved.
Also, a new smartphone app called “Show Me My Buzz” allows you to enter a person’s gender and information about drinks consumed, to calculate a person’s estimated blood alcohol concentration. More details are available by clicking here.
