NEW YORK (AP) — Three minor league players have been suspended for violating baseball’s drug policy, including one in the St. Louis Cardinals farm system.
Outfielder Reginald Williams of the Class-A Batavia Muckdogs tested positive for Methylhexaneamine, a stimulant.
Williams, Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Amilcar Arauz, and free-agent pitcher Carlos Misell each received 50 game suspension for using performance-enhancing drugs.
Arauz, on the roster of the Diamondbacks’ Dominican Summer League team, and Misell tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.
The penalties were announced Tuesday.
