ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – World Series fever shows no signs of being cured anytime soon in St. Louis.
Series MVP David Freese, whose 11th inning home run capped an epic Game 6, is meeting with fans at the Galleria Macy’s Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m.
But not just any fans – those who showed their dedication by waiting in line for hours outside Macy’s, waiting for the store to open at 10 a.m.
At that time, fans were given a wristband, and those chosen to be the first 275 in a lottery and who buy $50 in Cardinals merchandise will meet with Freese and get an autographed commemorative baseball provided by Macy’s.
He’s not signing any other merchandise, so fans were told to leave their pennants, posters and other mementos at home.
KMOX’s Tom Ackerman will host the signing session from 6 to 8 p.m.
