Fairview Heights Man Charged in Heroin Death

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOx) — A 28-year-old Fairview Heights
man could be sentenced to life in prison after he allegedly sold heroin to a man who later died.

Joseph L. Robinson was indicted this week for Distribution of Heroin Resulting in Death.

According to the indictment, Robinson sold 22-year-old Donnie T. Bauman of Fairview Heights heroin. He died the next day.

If convicted, Robinson faces a possible maximum penalty of life imprisonment.

Robinson’s trial is set for January 12, 2012.
