Thousands of Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts hit the streets Saturday, leaving
information tags and plastic bags on doorknobs.
Scouts on both sides of the river are taking part in the annual “Scouting For
Food” charity drive.
Next Saturday, they’ll be back in the neighborhoods collecting
non-perishables for food pantries in the region.
Scout executives say, with many food pantries running on short rations, the need
this year is urgent.
