CLAYTON (KMOX) – St. Louis County Police dispatchers were overwhelmed with angry phone calls late Thursday night, thanks to cable television host Nancy Grace.

Grace wasn’t pleased with prosecutors filing second-degree-murder charges against mother Shelby Dasher, after she confessed to beating her 13-month-old son Tyler to death.

“If you disagree with a light charge like murder two, like I do, there’s the numbers,” Grace proclaimed on her HLN show, while giving out the phone numbers for St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch and for St. Louis County Police.

“Let your voice be heard, on behalf of this 13-month-old baby boy.”

The police number, apparently, was a direct line to dispatchers.

The first wave of calls reportedly came after Grace’s show aired at 7 o’clock Thursday, with another round coming after the program repeated at midnight.

Authorities say no emergency calls were missed.
