COLLINSVILLE, IL. (KMOX) – Illinois State Police made two traffic stops that resulted in the seizure of 118 pounds of marijuana.

In the first stop on I-55/70 near Collinsville police discovered the marijuana in duffel bags.

Two days later a minivan was stopped on I-55/70 near Maryville and more than $21,000 in cash was discovered.

An Indiana man, Richard Nolan, is in custody in connection with the pot.  Nolan, 66, is from Avon, Indiana.

The driver of the minivan was released but the investigation continues.
