St. Louis Among saddest Cities in US

Fred Bodimer

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Another Men’s Health Magazine list is out. And once again, St. Louis doesn’t fare very well.

The magazine ranks St. Louis as the 6th saddest city in America.

To determine the rankings, Men’s Health calculated suicide rates and unemployment rates, then added up the percentage of households that use anti depressants, as well as the number of people who report feeling the blues all or most of the time.

St. Petersburg, Florida is at the bottom of the happiness list, number one hundred, making it the saddest city in America.

St. Louis was just five notches away at number 95. Kansas City finished 73rd on the list or 27th saddest. Honolulu came in as the happiest city in the United States.

That is why I tell people I do not live in St. Louis… but that I live in St. Louis County. And that we are spereate and doing well. I tell tem it is the St. Louis ”City” politicians and residents who do not care aout their city… And I tell them that we have a seperate government in the County. In fact, I would love to see the County called something else… St. Louis City and East St. Louis, Illinoix should be more likely united as one government body. They both seem to have the same agenda….. Their slogan might be, “when fininshed, before leaving stall, do not forget to flush……”
