Nearly Naked PETA Skaters Kept Off Steinberg Rink

Brian Kelly

ST. LOUIS (KMOX)-Because body paint and pasties don’t meet the dress code, two PETA members who had hoped to skate nearly naked at Steinberg Ice Rink Wednesday, were left holding their protest sign at the rink’s entrance.

Lauren Quillo and Laura Shields were hoping to convince people not to buy or wear real fur, but to “go faux”.

The two held a sign reading, “Bare Skin Don’t Wear Skin” while wearing only yellow body paint with black spots, pasties, panties and fuzzy ears.

About a dozen police officers and park rangers stood guard and a young couple skated on the ice during the protest.
