Former utility man John Mabry, who was a player with the Cardinals from 1994-1998, 2001, 2004-2005, has continue to be around the organization. Friday, the club made the announcement naming Mabry the assistant hitting coach. He replaces now bench coach Mike Aldrete and joins hitting coach Mark McGwire becoming the final coach of new manager Mike Matheny’s 2012 staff.
