Red-Flagged Drinking Water in Mo.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX/AP) – There are nearly two dozen drinking water systems in Missouri that have been consistently failing clean water tests.  St. Louis County and Jefferson County have one each.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources says 23 Missouri drinking water systems have at least three major monitoring violations in a 12-month period.

On the list are the Whispering Oaks Health Care Center in St. Louis County and the Walker Hill Mobile Home Park in Jefferson County.

The state DNR says the most recent violations occurred in the third quarter of 2011.
