More Guilty Pleas In Major Cocaine Ring

EAST ST. LOUIS, Il (KMOX) -Four men, including two illegal aliens, have admitted their roles in a major metro east cocaine ring.

Mexican residents Ivan Vazquez-Gonzalez and Homero Hernandez-Vega and Manuel Ramirez of Fairmount City and Daniel Ortiz of Granite City all pleaded guilty in federal court in East St. Louis.

The four are among 26 people charged with involvement in the ring.

As part of his guilty plea Vazquez-Gonzalez, who has lived in Granite City and Chicago, has agreed to forfeit nine-million dollars.

18 other co-conspirators have pleaded guilty. The remaining four are scheduled to be tried in March.
