Woman Pulled from Missouri River after Jump

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) – A woman is hospitalized after being pulled to safety from the Missouri River at St. Charles.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the woman reportedly jumped Wednesday morning from the Blanchette Bridge that carries Interstate 70 traffic across the river. Rescue crews hurried to the scene and found the woman floating on her back in the frigid water.

Her name was not released, and her condition was not immediately known.
