27 Year Prison Term For St. Louis County Man

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) –  A St. Louis County man receives a lengthy prison sentence for his conviction on multiple drug and weapons charges.

50-year-old Mark Edwin Shores will serve nearly 27 years in federal prison.

Police raided his home on Melba Place in September of 2009 and found crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

They also recovered a loaded revolver.

Shores was convicted in October on a wide range of criminal counts, which included being a drug dealer and a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

The U-S Attorney’s office says the hefty sentence resulted, in large part, from Shores’ designation as an Armed Career Criminal.
