WASHINGTON D.C. (KMOX) – President Obama will congratulate the Cardinals on their World Series victory, one week from Tuesday.

Cardinals players and staff will visit the White House at 3:05 p.m. ET on January 17th.

“The President will also recognize the efforts by the Cardinals to give back to their community as part of their visit, continuing the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts on and off the field,” according to a news release from the White House.

The Cardinals will also spend some time with wounded veterans at Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Washington D.C.
