ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Missouri Baptist Medical Center has partnered with the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes Jewish College to open a new state of the art nursing school on its campus in west county.
The 12.6 million dollar, nearly 43,000 square foot facility can train 200 students and graduate a 100 each year at the bachelor’s level.
Missouri Baptist VP and chief nurse executive Tim Mislan says those jobs will fill some critical needs. “We have the aging baby boomers populations, so we have a large number of people that will be requiring health care services,” said Misland.
He says health care reform will mean everyone in the medical profession will have to work smarter. The facility will be used for education, research and training.
