As always, ‘The Sports Hub’ kicks the evening off with the ‘Trifecta’ discussing the big wins, plus losses, from area teams.

If someone were to be awarded the NHL Executive of the Year at this point, a heavy favorite would be Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong. As the NHL All-Star break begins, Armstrong and the Blues are already eager to return to ice rink where they have accumulated 65 points over 49 games this season.

The annual Coaches vs. Cancer Shootout tips off at Chaifetz Arena on Thursday morning. There will be a number of local and regional teams on hand as usual. Event spokesperson Jim Powers joins the show.

The host’s favorite segment, ‘You Blew It’, is just a fantastic way to call out another person’s shortcoming or idiocy . In this edition, the guys revisit the AFC and NFC Championship games from last weekend.

Though the local World Series champion Cardinals look to be set with acquiring free agents, the market of players continues to make headlines. The most recent was first baseman Prince Fielder signing with the Detroit Tigers. Danny Knobler, baseball columnist for CBSSports.com, joins the broadcast.

In a roundtable with Chris Kerber, St. Louis Post-Dispatch writers Jeremy Rutherford & Dan O’Neill join the show to review the first half of the Blues 2012 season, which has been stellar to this point, while looking forward to what is next for this club that appears to be on the rise.
