ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - There’s another hat in the ring for Saint Louis City Treasurer . Late this evening, 22nd Ward Alderman Jeffrey Boyd announced he will make a bid for the job.

Boyd says he wants to run to restore public trust in the office that has been riddled by controversy. Boyd served over 23-years in the Army, and has been an alderman for eight years.

The field is getting crowded……In addition to 30-year incumbent Treasurer Larry Williams, who is seeking re-election,  Fred Wessels, Brian Wahby and Tishaura Jones all have thrown their hats into the political ring.
