EAST ST. LOUIS, IL (KMOX) Police have identified two men who were shot to death at an East St. Louis gas station early Saturday. They were 35-year-old Willie Singleton of Centreville and 33-year-old Lavor Flakes of East St. Louis. A third man escaped unharmed.
Police say Singleton was walking back to the car from the gas station early Saturday when three men in hoodies rounded a corner and opened fire. Floore says it appears that the victims were targeted because the shooters “walked right up to the car.” No suspects are in custody and police say they’re reviewing surveillance video.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Illinois State Police at 618-346-3990.
