CARBONDALE, Ill. (KMOX)- It’s going to cost the University of Missouri $200,000 to rearrange its 2012 football schedule, as the team makes the jump to the SEC.

The website The Southern.com reports SIU-Carbondale officials confirm Mizzou will pay SIUC $200,000 of the $325,000 fee it’s getting to face Miami (Ohio) in a road game, September 8th.

Missouri had previously been scheduled to host SIUC on that date, and also had intended to play Miami (Ohio) on September 22nd. But, the Tigers had to drop those two games to make room for Southeastern Conference games (September 8 at home versus Georgia & September 22 at South Carolina).

The September 8 game in Oxford, Ohio will mark the first ever meeting between the Football Championship Subdivision Salukis and the Football Bowl Subdivision Redhawks.
