ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A teacher at Blow Middle School has been arrested and charged with exposing himself to a female student.
48-year-old Clarence Cannon, a substitute teacher for the St. Louis Public School District for about a year, is accused of exposing himself to a 14-year-old girl, and encouraging her to do the same.
This reportedly happened on a school day while classes were in session.
A police report indicates that the following day Cannon offered to pay the girl to keep silent about the Jan. 31st incident.
He’s under arrest on felony charges of sexual misconduct involving a child under the age of 15 (first offense), attempted enticement of a child, and attempted witness tampering.
Parents of the city school district students are being alerted Friday because classes had been dismissed before the charges against Cannon were made public Thursday.
It’s the third case of a city schools employee being arrested on sexual misconduct charges since the beginning of the year.
