BERKELEY, Mo. (KMOX) - There’s good news from police in North St. Louis County.  Missing infant Zamari Oliver and his babysitter have been located, and the child appears to be in good condition.

KMOX News heard the word from Berkeley Police Chief Frank McCall Jr., “We received a Crimestoppers tip that our infant and the babysitter were observed (Saturday afternoon) in the 2600 block of Broadway within the city of St. Louis.”

The 11-month-old boy and his babysitter both went missing late Friday.  Police throughout the area had been looking for them.

The chief is grateful for all the help his department received, “You’re stressed, you’re pressured, because you really don’t want anything to happen to an innocent child. When you can get resolve such as today, it’s a great feeling.”

McCall Jr. says the babysitter is in police custody and the case will be turned over to the St. Louis County prosecutor’s office for consideration of charges.

The child was taken to a hospital for observation.
