ROLLA, Mo. (KMOX) – A young Rolla woman , found dead in a hospital waiting room, likely died from an overdose of prescription drugs.

Preliminary autopsy results indicated that, in the death of 25 year old Stephanie Maylee.   She had given birth by C-section several days before her death and had been prescribed pain killers.

Maylee was found dead in the waiting room at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla.

Maylee had recently given birth and was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.  Hospital CEO John Denbo said Maylee returned to the hospital Sunday evening because her newborn son had not yet been released.

Maylee, a resident of Rolla, slept in the waiting room Sunday night and was found dead around 10 a.m. Monday.
