While Kevin Wheeler is preparing for Spring Training work, Ron Jacober hosts Sports Open Line. He first speaks with KMOX Sports Director Tom Ackerman from the St. Patrick’s Trivia event while also reminding everyone there is still availability for Dinner with a Champion on the evening of Tuesday, Ferbruary 21 at the Missouri Athletic Club.

The Blues had a big 5-1 win last night, but the victory did not appear to be as dominating to some behind the bench and up in the press box. Long time St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Dan O’Neill joins Ron to talk about the playoff-bound St. Louis Blues. They have a pair of early games on Saturday plus Sunday versus the Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks.

Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter died earlier this week. Jay Randolph knew Carter well and joins Ron to talk about the player, plus the man, that was part of the famous the 1986 New York Mets World Series champion ball club.

For the second time, the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men’s basketball program will participate in the 10th annual BracketBusters against Northern Illinois over the weekend at Vadalabene Center. SIUE Athletic Director Brad Hewitt joins Ron.
