Denzel Washington’s well-reviewed CIA thriller “Safe House” was number one this weekend after coming in second last weekend. It scored $24.0 million, which topped the number one film from a week ago, “The Vow,” which came in 2nd at $23.6
In third place this weekend was the new Nick Cage film “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” at $22 million.
Fourth place went to “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” at $20.1 million. “This Means War,” the new romantic comedy with an espionage twist starring Reese Witherspoon, finished a disappointing 5th place at $17.6 million.
