CREVE COEUR, Mo. (AP) – Demand at a food pantries are up in many places, including a wealthy area of St. Louis County.
The Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry in Creve Coeur will soon move into a bigger space due to increased demand. The pantry fed 2,500 people a month last year, and is feeding double that number so far in 2012.
Some of the pantry’s clients come from such well-to-do places as Ladue, Chesterfield and Creve Coeur. One pantry official says people that were donating food last year are picking it up this year.
