Illinois Police Search for Missing Godfrey Man

GODFREY, Ill. (KMOX) — The Madison County Sheriff’s is searching for a missing Godfrey man.

A family member told police she last saw 36 year-old Charles Roe leaving his home in the 4900 block of Southwood Drive in Godfrey, Illinois around 5:00 p.m., Wednesday. He was planning to attend a 5:30 p.m. church services at St. Mary’s Church in Alton, Illinois.

It is unknown if Roe attended the church service but authorities found Roe’s abandon vehicle on the rear parking lot of St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton.

The area where Roe’s truck was located is being searched extensively.

The family member says his disappearance is highly unusual and is concerned for his well being.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Charles Roe, or who has information related to his disappearance, is asked to contact the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at the following numbers:
