ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Blues GM Doug Armstrong announced Friday the club has recalled defenseman Ian Cole from the Peoria Rivermen. In addition, defenseman Kris Russell has returned to St. Louis to be evaluated by Dr. Matt Smith after suffering an injury resulting in concussion-like symptoms during the third period of the Blues’ 3-2 shootout victory over the Predators on Thursday night in Nashville.

Cole, 22, has appeared in 18 games with the Blues this season posting five points (one goal, four assists) while he has also recorded a goal and three assists in 22 games with the Rivermen.
