EDWARDSVILLE, IL (KMOX) – A St. Louis man is in custody, accused of an early Sunday morning armed robbery in Edwardsville.

22-year-old Latwrence Brown is being held in the Madison County jail pending charges.

Brown is accused of pulling a gun on employees of the Burger King in the 2200 block of Troy Road shortly after midnight.

When police arrived they blocked in the suspect’s vehicle.  Police say he ran off, dropping money and a mask on the parking lot.  He was taken into custody without incident a short time later.

No one was hurt in the incident.
