Flu Prompts Two St. Louis Schools to Close

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — A flu-like illness has hit a couple of south St. Louis schools hard.

St. Raphael the Archangel School on Jamieson is closed today and tomorrow (3/1/12).

St. Gabriel the Archangel on Tamm will close tomorrow and Friday.

More than sixty children and teachers in both grade schools are out with high fevers and general achiness.

St. Gabriel principal Ann Davis tells KMOX News they’ll use Thursday and Friday to sanitize the school and re-open their doors Monday, after giving kids and staff four days to recover.
