ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The United States Attorney’s office announced Monday that Brent Woody has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison on his conviction of transporting a minor across state lines to engage in sexual activity.
According to court documents Woody, 29, was a basketball coach at Parkway Central High School who took a 15-year-old girl to his parent’s home in Illinois to have sex with her.
When he was arrested in 2010, Woody was charged with having sexual relationships with two teenaged girls.
He pleaded guilty to one felony count of transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity last October.
On Monday, U.S. District Judge Jean Hamilton ordered Woody to spent 151 months, nearly 12 and a half years, in federal prison.
